Description
BGR Coriander powder is one of the most common spice used in Indian cuisine. The entire coriander plant is edible, including leaves, stems, and seeds. The scent of coriander is bright and citrusy, reminiscent of lemons and limes, with a warm, spicy, and citrusy flavor. These seeds are then either dried in the sun for a few days or pan-roasted until fragrant. The seeds are then blended in a spice grinder to make coriander powder.
INGREDIENTS
- Coriander seeds 1/2 kg
- Pepper 30 grams
- Toor Dal 50 grams
- Cumin seeds 50 grams
- Fenugreek seeds 2 tsp
- Curry leaves few optional
INSTRUCTIONS
- Clean the coriander seeds and dry roast them in batches till it start to crackle.
- Then add pepper powder and dry roast it.
- Similarly roast cumin powder, pepper, toor dal and fenugreek seeds separately.
- Allow them to cool down completely.
- Take them in batches in mixer.
- Grind to smooth powder.
- Spread them in cloth or paper and allow it to cool down.
- Once it cools down, store in airtight container.
- Homemade aromatic Coriander powder is ready.
